Project Summary:
One of the projects that I was super excited to work on at Mohawk was an email re-design campaign. During my time there, I initiated an email marketing platform switch. When I started with Mohawk, we were using Marketo, which is a great, albeit very involved email marketing platform. It includes everything from general email campaigns to lead scoring, landing pages and questionnaires / forms, to tracking leads on your connected website. It was also very expensive, and not something that we were using to the full capacity. It honestly seemed silly. So, when the time came to renew our contract with Marketo, I thought “hey, let’s sit down and talk about this instead of just doing what we’ve always done”. In collaboration with my boss and grand-boss, as well as with some feedback from the rest of the marketing team, we decided the best course was to switch. After extensive research and discussion, we decided to switch to Mailchimp, and the rest is history!
or not….
Anyone who has done a platform switch, whether is’s website or CRM or email, knows the work that goes into setting it up. It’s by no means a quick process. After cleaning lists, starting a new campaign, and getting everything set up, the final step was re-designing our emails. What you see here are both emails that were sent with Marketo, or the result of weeks of research into email marketing. I did not get the opportunity to see this project through to fruition, but I am proud of the work that was done and the growth I went through to get from my starting point to these designs.
